Hopefully you guys can click on the link

Seems like a good deal to me. Looks very clean, my first color of choice was definitely White, then Black, 3rd was this Gray/silver but it isnt bad, its a very unique Tacoma color for these 1st gens right? I like that it has that Limited look with the fender flares, bumpers, and handles painted the same as the rest of the truck.

I definitely want a 1st gen 4x4 v6 DOUBLE cab between 2001-2004. Its in my budget and can bring them down some more. Mileage is eh, a bit on the high side but im willing to settle for that.

For those that have experience with the 2001-2004 Tacomas, is there anything you recommend for me to look for when I go see it? I’ll be going today after work. Thank you

Looks nice. Depending on service records and history Be ready to do some maintance on it. 183k miles

Welcome to the forum. I didn’t see a price but the truck looks great from the pics.
Check the frame for rust and body for repairs. I’d get a reputable mechanic to check it out if you’re not comfortable making a good assessment on it mechanically.
Look at the service records like @OR17TRD said.

They have it priced at $9000. Maybe I can bring them down to $8000. If all is good you think its a good deal with the mileage it currently has? Or should I keep looking

It seems like most of the gen ones in a double cab are going for between $7-9k with that much mileage. I’d try to talk them down as much as possible but if that’s the truck you want $9k isn’t a bad price.

183k on a Tacoma ain't ****! They wont give you any issues for at least another 100k... that being said, listen for a tapping sound coming from the back of the engine (flex plate) the only weak point on the 3.4 v6, other than that, It's a better built Tacoma than the 2nd and 3rd gens in my opinion. Want proof. Read the threads on the newer models. 7-9k on 1st gens is normal, well built/maintained ones can fetch alot more.

Bad news guys, I was on my way to the dealership after work and called the salesman I had been talking to just to tell him I was on my way, and he said they had just sold it. Damn. Oh well, the search continues.

That sucks but there’s plenty more out there.

Toyota has a site that if the services were done at a Toyota or authorize dealer it will show. All you need is to create an account and the VIN ...

Get ready for Timing Belt, water pump, suspension and coil packs .... check the frame to see if it was replaced or coated by the dealer
