Geez those are some dark lil holes to find stuff in. Anybody using some type of spring loaded battery powered light on these spots?

Or some other idea? Come on Toyota. Even my 71 Olds Cutlass has em!

TIA

Crickets.

I tried an LED stick-on thingy that was supposed to turn on when I opened the glove box or console and waved you hand in front of it. Junk...

Other than that, can't help ya.

I had one of the LED ribbon lights with on/off sensor in the bed of my truck and it worked flawlessly and the batteries lasted about a year. Something similar could work in the glovebox.

UPDATE

I bought 4 of the lights OR17TRD suggested.

Good news: mounted to the top of the glove box and the console lid worked like a champ! Way bright but not blinding at night.

Bad news: One of the 4 was a complete dud (waiting to hear from seller) and getting your own 3M tape is definitely on target.

Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome. Glad that worked for ya.
Yeah, these new LED lights are the way to go. I even have LED spot/motion lights around my house outside because they use so little power they last forever and are so bright.

Put em in the spousal units Ford Edge too. There are none in the dual lid console or glove box and only 1....one light behind the rear seat and it is like only a foot up on the right side. Can’t see crap!

Do engineers not come out at night or what?

Just because I don’t want to run the rubicon, I still feel welcome. (Unlike PNW Jeep forums). My lil problems, you guys are willing to help.

Thanks

I like that. Worked out well.

How much money is in Texasred's jar?

I say $4.15

And, is that a vial of digoxin in the consol? And if so, what's a 5-Minute Energy doing in there?

Good eye. Lol
A positive inotropic heart medication, an energy shot, a pulse oximeter, a handgun maybe ?, and a jar of change.
Looks like @texasred is having an interesting truck ride.

Now that I'm thinking about it, the 0.25 mg strength tables in the vial might be alprazolam, used to treat anxiety and panic attacks. So, again I ask, what it the 5-hour Energy doing in there?

Or, it could be respiridone, used to treat schizophrenia.

Maybe Mirapex to treat Parkinson disease

Oh, oh, could be clonazepam to treat seizures.

You live in what state?
