Trd OR or trd pro

I was also thinking about doing something like this in the middle and running both hoses to it so I only had to drill one small hole. FD81FFAE-CA0E-469A-9387-84E68DEEAD5D.jpeg

Doesn’t seem to look sealed anything you guys see that I’m missing? Also it’s really sunny here in nor cal but I need to find a better solution for the drain.

Are you closing it softly? You’ve got to drop it and almost let it slam shut or the latches won’t pass the frame to latch.
It locks when you close it. You have to open the tailgate and pull the wire that unlatches it. If the tailgate is locked it’s secure.

Lol yea slamming with some force definitely clicks but in pic 4 which is a side view, a panel doesn’t seem super sealed is that ok? Maybe eventually settle in. I tried drilling the composite and it’s hard as hell. I think I need a plan b on that one

There is some adjustment that can happen on the mounting brackets they can be moved up or down before you tighten it. I pushed them all the way down as far as I could before tightening the bolts.
It should sit flat right away. There shouldn’t be any settling time needed. I had to grab the cover at the tailgate side when it was closed and pull it towards me to get it to flatten out after I first installed it. After that it’s been fine.

Ok so adjusted and slammed the **** out of it....only way for both clips to lock. Now it looks legit. Am I going to need to slam it this hard every time?

I don’t slam mine I drop it. I don’t add any extra force to the closing process. I let gravity close it.

Well first project under the books. Thanks for your help OR. Ordered BAMF sliders can’t wait till to go pick up in a couple of months lol lol.

I still don’t understand why I can not order a truck from Toyota. It sounds absurd that I can not get a manual TRD Pro in California

I special ordered my off road — got a black manual loaded with tech, sunroof, and leather seats.

You just have to find a dealership that lets you do it.

Took about 3-4 mos to receive it and put down a $1k deposit.

I’m actually someone who owns a TRD Pro.
1. You can get crawl in TRD Off-road. If that’s all you want save 10k
Nd get the off-road
2. You can add a 6 inch ProComp stage 1 suspension lift kit for $1,600 and only have to replace back shocks ( so not a waste to lift )
3. All the other trim options as you say it add up to a lot more than you or anyone trying to install aftermarket.

If you don’t know what your talking about. Don’t talk at all

I suggest you go and check one out and see that for yourself that the TRD Pro is more than a Fox suspension upgrade
