I mean there's a big picture here and I'll paint it.

Go long tubes and errything else stock - pinch point from the ypipe.

Get short tubes.... Ur gunna have cats, and same ypipe pinch.

Get long tubes and aftermarket ypipe.... Ur gunna have rasp and shi ttier low end tq.

Get LT, aftermarket ypipe and larger exhaust... Civic low end tq

Get a blower for the HP.... Then have it strangled by the stock manifolds and ypipe and catback. Also reduced life of cats.

To make the most of things.....
Intake, blower, longtubes, aftermarket ypipe, 02 simulators, 3" catback with two mufflers (non chambered)..... But then ur gunna need upgraded fuel pump and not be emissions legal.... Off-road use only.

I'd say unless ur willing to spend around 7 grand in parts alone on the truck to do it right, and have the off-road use only problem, buy a car.

You don't wanna get these trucks past 90mph very often, they get floaty.

I suppose u could do this tho....
Intake, blower, 2.85 pulley, short tube headers with NEW cats (prolong the usability of the shorties), aftermarket ypipe (urd), 3" catback with a second small muffler for rasp, AT LEAST a 255lph fuel pump, a wideband gauge so you don't blow **** up THINKING your AFR is correct.... And maybe a boost gauge for vac leak/belt slip diagnostic purposes.

Did I forget anything?

It amazes me how much goes into mods in newer vehicles. I remember when I was a teenager we would strip a small block Chevy, add headers, dual pipes, high-rise intake with dual Hollies and be back on the road the next day.
And that's why we love our old classic cars/trucks for fun and modern cars/truck for work/play. You can still work on the classics with basic tools but need computers and special tools for modern. Everyone should try to have at least one classic to monkey with if you like wrenching.

Amen to that! Loved all 4 of my Tacos but they don't scratch all the itches of a gearhead. Haha
