Whatcha eating?

Wifee is making burgers in her Air Fryer.........she loves that thing!
Them’s magical things there! You can even reheat fries and they’ll come back to life.

Guys, the lady got an air fryer for Xmas ....
Last night she made chicken strips in it and the damn kitchen smelled HORRIBLE!!!!

not sure wtf I smelled but it was rlly bad. The food smelled fine when plated, tasted meh.
Is the first use just stanky as the plastic exhaust fins and body get hot or something?
As it is, I want to throw that pos away.

Fwiw she used zero oil of any kind

From what I've read and been told.....the first few times the air fryer is used you can notice a 'smell'......we noticed that 'smell' the first 2-3 times we used it and now it's gone. Wifee cooked in it tonite and no awkward smells.

After watching some smoking videos on YouTube we got hangries...

Threw a porkloin on for about 2/2.5hrs and reverse seared for a couple minutes. I was in a hurry and it was cold out so I coulda gone lower and slower... Avg temp in the chamber was 280.

Just before the loin came off the firebox sear, I took 2 sheets of foil and spread a thin line of "Christopher ranch" minced garlic down the middle. Took the loin off the fire, set right on top of the garlic mince in the foil, wrapped tight for 12ish minutes to rest in the microwave (off).

Unwrapped the loin carefully, sliced it, then poured the minced garlic/juice goodness on top.
Damn good and damn simple.

Dang! That looks really good! We have a pork roast goin' into the Air Fryer tomorrow.....I can taste it now!
Thanks man, it was killer... I just washed the cutting board and the hot water made steam.... Said steam reactivated the garlic/loin juice and it made me about lose my mind when it wafted to the olfactory cavities. It smelled so good

....

......
U can has fried loin?

That reactivation of the olfactory cavities was well worth it! LOL Our Air Fryer has a rotissarie to it......put that pork roast on there......400° for an hour as it turns......Mmm....Mmm.....Good!
