I’ve had their CAI in my 2007 tundra. It sounded good and was easy to clean and maintain. I like it. I’ve used their drop in dry filters on lots of my vehicle over the years. I’ve liked them as well.
I thought about adding this exact CAI to my 2017 Tacoma but the third gen OEM box is a CAI in itself and the box and filter are the same size as the 2018/19 Tundra 5.7L. V8 so its getting plenty of air flow to the 3.5L V6. I did use the aFe pro dry S drop in filter in the OEM box and liked it.
If you want the extra noise or just want to say you have it to have it then get it.
I would be interested if you do decide to get it and can go get a Dyno reading before then install it and get it dyno’d after to compare the results.

Buy an ultragauge or scangauge 2, watch your iat (intake air temps) stock... Compare to ambient air. I KNOW second gens bone stock pull ambient temps at around 45mph. Then see if u need a "cold" air intake.
Keep the ultragauge or scangauge 2, and use it to monitor many other parameters such as a TRUE water temp gauge, voltage, etc. Also usable to read and clear check engine lights and pending codes.

I have used and been a beta tester with ultraguage MX (does trans temps atleast on second gens) i like it, but theres too many parameters available to watch for me. My ADHD makes it hard enough and i have all your normal gauges, plus boost and afr to keep an eye on, but heres the link

I switched to the scangauge2 a couple yrs ago. It offers 4 parameters to watch at any one time, and thats all i need. I select to watch voltage, water temp, trans temp, and intake air temp.
