First Generation Tacoma Pics

Finnaly added a receiver for a hitch, came off a 1992 toyota pickup that's getting a swing out tire carrier. Still have to put the stock bumper on over the receiver but need longer bolts. Eventually gonna end up with a swing out for my spare as well but for the time having the receiver will give me a recovery point in the rear where one was not there. Tacoma are definitely not rated to "tow" bit for my needs of recovery or being able to pull someone out makes sense. This is a nice temporary solution. Was definitely hard to get into place fell free to ask questions the receiver was off a 1992 and put onto a 2003. More nuts and or spacers may be needed to securely fasten one up. More to come on this Tacoma definitely far from done. Let's get the first gen thread back up and going! What have you done to your first gen today? 20200119_155446.jpeg20200119_155455.jpeg20200119_172111.jpeg

Frame is almost ready. I need to cut my front cab mounts back a bit, and do my sliders. Then it’ll be swap time.
ive seen some pics on this forum and looks like you off-road in major way. so when you say cutting front cab mounts back, is that so you can fit bigger tires? are you making any upgrade to cab mounts themselves? what kind of sliders are you going with? sorry if lame questions. i find this stuff fascinating, but im newb to the third degree. haha! :D
