I would assume it being a 2017 off-road double cab it’s a 4x4.
You can fit 285/75/16 which is 32.8” and 11.2” wide. With a 2.5-3” lift. Once you go 4” you’re going to need new Upper control arms (UCA) and more parts to make it work right which is $$$. Get a good old man emu lift kit or bilstein 5100’s and some Dakars in the rear. Or cheap ****ty spacer lift with an AAL.

Generally it's a good idea to get aftermarket UCAs for anything over 2.5" of lift.

Lots of people achieve alignment with 2.5-3” lifts without UCA but yeah go higher than 3” you’re going to need UCA for sure.
Total chaos UCA.

2wd prerunner TRD sport I’ve noticed my ball joints popping a little and my camber looks a little off if I’m looking at it from the front

Do these still have cab mounts ? (probably so) If so you can raise it 5" & still gonna hit frame rails at minimum I suspect...

Chop,chop,chop those mounts...

I'm not 100% on the new trucks yet, but I know on the older ones if you go more than 3" it'd be a good idea to regear your transfer case.

Really only depends on how
Large of a tire you go with in the end on whether or not you would re gear it. Anything larger than a 285/75/16 is when I would start to seriously consider new gears.

You cannot regear out tranfercases. You regear the differentials based on tire size to offset larger tires but most only do it with 35s or larger.

I thought re gearing was done thru tire size,,, you know...want lower gears, get smaller tire, taller gears, get bigger tires....

You mean this is wrong ?? Discount tire lied to me....lol
