$$100,000 Ford Truck

I saw that truck the other day in the news and it's a joke, I guess Ford thinks it Mercedes Benz, oh wait there coming out with a truck.

Also not a truck. Luxury SUV. Different beast. I’d put them in with the MB, Lexus, Range Rover, Jeep, BMW, Porsche, Volvo and Cadillac SUV’s which some of them can run upward of $220k like the AMG G65 and almost all are around $100k for a loaded luxury SUV so doesn’t surprise me.
This compares to Chevy 3500HD loaded, Dodge 3500 loaded, GMC 3500HD Denali loaded which are all $20-30k cheaper and all with just as much truck ability. Ford is being Financially Obsessed Ridiculous Douches with this one. There is a market for these trucks but they have over priced this one and made their market itty bitty. They’ll be lucky to sale more than 10,000 of them and just gave people a reason to buy something else. Even with its ball massaging heated seats and crotch cooling capabilities.

The truck is a F450 which is a larger truck than the F350. You’re paying for the drivetrain on top of high luxury.

This is just a Toyota fanboy fapper thread because you don’t seem upset at the $93K and higher price of the Toyota offerings.

It’s a different vehicle all together. It’s not a truck it won’t tow like a truck it won’t haul like a truck no payload like a truck.
Like you said earlier it’s a status symbol. Your wife buys one because you live in the west hills of your town and the neighbors have one. I wouldn’t pay that much for any Toyota. Lol
I for sure wouldn’t pay that much for a Ford truck doesn’t matter if it can tow 10,000 more lbs than any of the 3500’s and has a bigger pay load. The Dodge 3500HD has a 31,200 lb tow capability. It is not a valid comparison to Class 3 pickups. Once you get into that tow class there is very little any of these trucks can’t tow or handle and at that point hire a professional or get a semi truck.

Different makes for different people. Most don’t even care about a slight difference in capability or price when it comes down to their favorite brand.
When it’s getting into 6 figures with luxury options for a hauler though it’s obviously a status symbol.

I’m willing to bet more people buy the 450 for work than a LC or LX for SUV duties minus carrying people and probably not in the 3rd row. Remember that the LC and LX have a rear locker, AWD, center lock for 4wd, MTS, DAC, HAC, Crawl Crontrol and even ride height adjustment.

No arguments there. Guarantee it. Strongly doubt any of the off road features ever get used on higher end SUV’s. Also guarantee a load of gravel hardly ever gets hauled in a $100,000 pickup truck bed!

If the 450 works it will just be to tow. The Glamis and river rats here will get it but at least hook up a toy hauler.

Buy me one I’ll put it to good use. :D

“You get the V8 sound and that’s about it. The acceleration is on par with a really weak V6 or a middle to high end inline 4 or four popper. Don’t expect a lot of grunt out of it” :(

At least you’ll turn heads at the mall with the other soccer moms and kept women!
