$$100,000 Ford Truck

I’m willing to bet more people buy the 450 for work than a LC or LX for SUV duties minus carrying people and probably not in the 3rd row. Remember that the LC and LX have a rear locker, AWD, center lock for 4wd, MTS, DAC, HAC, Crawl Crontrol and even ride height adjustment.

I think you need to go test drive one and get it out of your system.
Use the air conditioned seats while you cruise and show it off.
I bet if Taco fanboys see you in a Ford they’ll faint.

You wouldn’t know how to handle the power of the turd gen 3.5 6 speed with it’s shift points below 1,200 RPM for practically all gears....[emoji20]

On a serious note... my biggest aggravation with the truck. But I don’t really want to install the shifter and leave it in sport shift all the time either. So I’ll deal with it.
On the plus side speeding tickets are practically a worry of the past.

Try that shift module deal on TW. I don't remember how much it was but I don't think it's a lot.

It’s not much. That’s what I was talking about. I looked at it and put some thought into getting it. It’s an awesome product but I’m used to the shift points now.

Even the 2nd gen 5 speed was quick to get into high gear. I use 4th around town now. The engine is more responsive, runs smoother at speed (45-50mph) and gas mileage is up a tad. I see 2000 rpm at 50mph which is the same as when I’m going 70 in 5th.

I remember that from my second gen 4.0 liters. I do love that drive train though. The most interesting I ever had was the 4wd 2.7 liter automatic. It felt like the transmission was having seizures pulling any hill.

I’d take the 3.5 with the 6 speed issues over any CVT setup though.
