You were a corrections officer ? (assuming) I worked at Chuckawalla/Ironwood state prison as an outside contractor for a couple years & I can say without hesitation I did't see much but I def. heard a lot of **** coming out of the dorms...screams of agony, rage all the bad ****...

I come from a family of law enforcement, both sides, grandpa was a retired chief of police in Dighton , Kansas my cousin from same side of family (dads) is DEA & on my mom's side my uncle was head jailer at Tacoma state prison , one of his son's (my cousins) is a local sheriff & the other one is a U.S. marshal (all he does is fly back & forth across country picking up & delivering high risk convicts) ... But they all seem to have the attitude of "the risk go with the job" & they accept it, it's pretty much the way I feel about it too, I was real close to being a San Diego county sheriff myself years ago but missed the cut off age of 32 IIRC...

Will you adopt me ?? haha , every time we visited in Kansas as kids my gramps would take me & my brother "downtown"
& lock us in a cell, he'd leave, sometimes for an hour (which is a lifetime when your 7) & he'd come back about the time we thought we were doing life sentence & ask "How you boys like being locked up?" obviously not very much & he'd say "Remember this feeling boy, it'll keep you out as a man." As corny as it sounds it always stuck for the most part

Boy1: do you think he left us in here for good?
Boy2: no he’ll be back.

Boy1: are you sure you don’t think he left us in here for good?
Boy2: no he’ll be back.
30min later...
Boy1: I hope you're sure he’s not leav’n us in here for good.
Boy2: I’m sure.
1hour later...
boy2: HE’S NOT COMING BACK. WE’RE GONNA BE IN HERE FOR GOOD!!
Gramps: well fellas, I better go let those little ass holes out.
