5-lugs Matter too!

I have a 2009 Tacoma Regular cab v4 with no lift.. how big can i go on wheels?

Welcome to the forum. I like the thread name.
If I remember right, with no modifications to your 5 lug on a gen two you can go as high as a 265/70/R16 (OR whatever the largest OEM tire size was for that year).
And if it’s a 15” rim with a 5 lug (assuming it is) and you want to keep stock rims I think the max is 235/75/R15 without any rubbing or anything.
A rule of thumb I always remember was that on the gen two’s you should be able to fit at least the largest tire size available OEM without modifying your truck. That may not be 100% accurate. You can probably squeeze in something bigger but I don’t know if you would want to. Especially with the 2.7 liter.
Hope that helps.

Of course 5 luggers matter ! Just go out to the desert & the vast majority of trucks that are LT'd (toyota wise) are 5 luggers

I seen a double cab 5er today on the freeway. It looked so weird, even the ol lady said "wtf is that"?

The fender flares 4 doors, and those pizza cutters make for an odd shape

I’m not sure if this helps but I just put 305/55-20’s on my five lugger
I’ll be honest it was a lot of work , but most of it was done with lift kits I got off of eBay
I installed a 3” body& a 3” suspension lift and the result was astounding
I’m now very happy with my tacoma

Yeah it was a hell of alot of work lifting a 5 lug single cab 2nd gen from 5" under stock (bagged & slammed) to 4" over stock, a lot of custom fabbing with custom built upper's & lowers,spindle/etc;...

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I gave this guy a link to tw member speed freek (jason) who's done a few of these (LS conversions) If serious he can make it happen...But yeah I think we ALL want one but few follow thru...I hope he does, it'd be awesome
