Hello I recently bought a 2004 4x4 tacoma. It came with one broken leaf so I decided to replace both sides with a heavier set. Before it rode very smooth but springs were worn. Now, it rides feeling every hole in road. I did not replace shocks. Its there something i can do to get a smoother ride.

I have an '04 as well, I think I can help, First off did you gain any height by changing springs ? If so, you need to upgrade your shocks because 1st gens are real sensitive about this relationship between getting lift & longer shocks because that's what you'll need...

As for the "stiff" ride it's got to be expected when going to a heavier leaf, does this mean you have to live with it ? No, but you'll need to increase the damping of spring with better &/or longer shocks
