Gen 3 Remote Start

Has anyone who as the 12 volt solutions remote starter notice that when they start the truck and then it runs for the full 15 mins and shuts off the proximity key thing doesn't work? I have to dig out my remote and hit the unlock button.

I’ve noticed mine is a little laggy but still works. I’ll have to hold the handle for a second. It hasn’t even been enough for me to give it much thought honestly.

Just noticed you said after the full 15 minutes.
I assume it’s a safety feature that doesn’t allow the doors to be opened with the proximity sensor after being cut off.
If you are in the vehicle then the key fob is in range for the proximity sensor to work. If it allowed the door to be opened from the outside then any random person could open your door. Hence the reason you have to hit the actual key fob button to unlock it.

Only had it time out once, but it opened as it should.

I have not had that issue. How long have you had yours
Well I bought my truck about 8 weeks ago. The remote start has been in for about half that. Lol it does it to mine Everytime. I use it all the time as I live in the mountains of British Columbia Canada. it's cold and we have about 2' of snow currently.

Hate that you’re having an issue with the timeout not allowing a handle unlock. I assumed it was a safety feature as mine has done it too but I’ve not let it time out enough to see if it’s a consistent issue.
Did you email or call 12 volt solutions? They’re customer service is phenomenal by all accounts.
