What do you do for Work?

Originally 42A then retrained into the R3SP program (suicide prevention). I never really did my job because there were other areas that needed skills...I was in charge of APFT's for awhile and fitness and nutrition, then obviously helicopter crew but my blood pressure was always too low....I'd always dwindle on the fine line of blacking out with combat maneuvers, then range safety and range coach for females that couldn't qualify....I miss that the most! Then the R3SP program.

A little bit of everything.
When I wasn’t on deployment it was the same thing. Just nothing that cool. Guard duty and access control points. Constant training with jumps, airfield seizure, and MOUT training.

Well it depends :). We are looking to target 49,000 Army HMMWV replacements over 20 years. Marines will get around 5500 initially. Other Services are possible too.

That’s pretty cool. I wonder if the current HMMWV fleet will last 20 more years? They’re all about ready for the boneyard.

I was looking at that beautiful catfish too. It would fry up awful nice. Lol. My biggest is a 56lb. Flathead. There ain’t nothing like pulling a big old hoglipped cat out of the water.
My favorite is stealhead fishing. Biggest fish I’ve caught was a sturgeon those are prehistoric looking monsters. I’ve never caught a giant catfish, ugly things. Haha

Ugly but they taste oh so good.
I’ve caught and ate my share of catfish but not the giant ones. They are tasty fried up. Flour lots of salt and pepper and butter in a fry pan yum yum. They have all been the smaller ones out of some of the lakes I’ve fished.

Yeah. They’re easy to fillet too. No scales. Mmmmm.

If the Army decides to reset the HMMWV fleet to augment the JLTVs then they will last some more years. Our Program Office stands ready to support.

I am a police k9 handler working a dual purpose k9, patrol and explosives. Also a trainer. I also own a non profit with a lifelong friend, I train and place service dogs for our organization, he does equine therapy and together we run team building camps as well as take wounded vets and first responders on hunts. We work mainly with veterans and first responders living with service related trauma and children with special needs.

That’s awesome. Thanks for all you do.

Gods work. Keep it going. Glad to have you here.

haha, i appreciate it, but i enjoy training dogs, and i enjoy watching folks benefit from them. it really makes ya think when you turn a trained dog over to a retired navy seal and wattch em smile, or turn a trained dog over to a 9yo wheelchair bound boy suffering from ALS and may never see twenty.
