Rear ended

So Saturday night I got rear ended. Thank god I have the tow package because that hitch really saved the back of my truck. So far I know I need a new bumper and the seven pin trailer electrical connection. It’s been cold out and I really don’t want to spend a lot of time on the cold concrete so I haven’t really looked it over good yet. Everything looks good from behind but is there a chance it could’ve bent the frame? With the hitch in there it sure looks pretty sturdy. I still need to have the adjuster look at it. Here is what it looked like on Saturday night. IMG_3825.jpg This is the Corolla that hit me twice. IMG_3827.jpg and the back IMG_3829.jpg after it got hit from the Porsche IMG_3834.jpg

Wow the Porsche faired the worst it looks like.
I would definitely get it looked at. There’s always a possibility.

That sucks.
That Porsche is going to cost the most to fix too. I would take it to a shop of your choice and get an estimate. Contact their insurance for diminished value. They should pay you for that as well as fixing your truck and any medical, loss of wages, pain and suffering. I always call my attorney as soon as the accident happens. Insurance companies will try to take advantage of your lack of knowledge and how claims work.
Good luck

Wow that sucks, glad you were not hurt. Yes I would take the truck to a body shop for an estimate . Also check the gaps between tailgate&bed cab& bed etc...... There could be hidden damage

Thanks guys. I definitely will have the frame checked out for sure. That video is hilarious! That was awesome to wake up to that. Made my day right off the bat. I was thinking of getting a off road bumper for the back to replace the stock one. What is out there that doesn’t break the bank? Do you guys have any that you can show off to see what they look like installed? Is there a hidden hitch that can be installed to raise the clearance in the back? I still need to be able to tow a trailer.

That guy has a few other videos of him singing. Made me laugh. I like the lady towards the end who gets up and starts dancing haha.
Find a shop that will work with you on replacing the bumper with the one you want while working with insurance to pay for it.

Lol most of the women were enjoying his song!
I’m going to find a few shops and get some estimates and see what all they find messed up from the accident.
This really sucks because I’m finally am going to have decent weather this weekend in the 40’s and 50’s. I’ve got a full 3” old man emu lift kit I’ve been waiting to get put on. I guess it’ll wait till everything is fixed first.

Maybe find a shop that can do all the work and save some money. You might be surprised if you ask.

So Friday I got a estimate from the first place and he quoted over $3100 in damages! I had no idea that the factory installed tow hitch was $1200! And that’s not even with it on the rack to check frame yet.
I found a hidden hitch and bumper from all pro and was wondering if anyone has anything good to say about them?

Yeah, any damage to a Toyota gets pricey.

Get the high clearance rear bumper to match?

I love the looks of the All Pro. I’ve never heard anything bad about their quality. Just a little negative about their customer service.
Never know how legit that is either though, some people get their feelings hurt way to easy.

Yes people get butt hurt way to easy.
