How were you able to buy a Tacoma

I had a Silverado (that was totaled). I liked the drive train but the truck was a nightmare of recalls and problems. So it was back to Toyota.
I made the GM mistake and won’t do it again. I always drove Toyota’s. That’s where I’ll stay now.
Me too. We have 3 Toyota's. All are older vehicles. I still have my first Toyota it's a 99 V6 Camry XLE 220k miles most reliable vehicle I've ever had.

The Camry is hard to kill. I’ve had family get over 400k before selling them. And that’s with less than routine maintenance and no rebuilds. I didn’t even think that was possible in a fuel motor 4 banger until I actually saw it myself.

Yeah I've thought about selling it but it's really not worth anything lol. It's showing it's wear though and hasn't been maintained the best either. It's all original even the AC which is ice cold... It's seriously amazing. Engine oil, brake pads, tires, And 1 timing belt. That's it.

I bought mine new in 05. I make pretty good money but the payment at the time wasn't that big a difference from anything else. I think the sticker on mine was 24k. Now I don't think you can get the same truck for under 30k. Best truck I've ever owned by far, and even though it's an 05 I've taken very good care of it and plan on having it for a long time! Love it.

I had a 87 Pick up,,87 4-Runner when I was in my 20`s,,,went to Ford trucks for full size beds,,ALWAYS had Weird issues with my Fords..Purchased a New 2014 F150 stx crew cab with the coyote v-8,,,Paid Cash outright,,,--Ford gives you 3yrs,36 k warrenty, and now the story begins.. 3weeks out of the 3 yr warrenty WITH 1100 miles,,,,The 250 amp Fusiable link for the Charging system Blows and Good old Ford would do a dam thing for me,,,a OEM 35 dollar part,,,,,and its happened to many other Ford owners too,,,but Ford wont admit to it..Bought the part ,repaired it and went back to Toyota,,,, Traded and got a sweet Deal

As educators we worked several jobs throughout our careers. One was bringing large trucks to Oklahoma City from Los Angeles. I would fly out at 6:00 am on Saturday morning and be home in time for dinner Sunday evening. Taught night classes and was within 9 hours of a doctorate. Oh, and the extracurricular events we administrators had to supervise were numerous. We worked our asses off. No college debt for the kids who are now self supporting. Now I actually work a little for my son. (No pay, just fun).

Paid off the house this summer and paid cash for the Tacoma. That was the first time I have been able to make a true cash deal. No trade. Well the truth is they gave me an even deeper discount to borrow from Toyota Financial so I did. Then paid it off two months later so they could get whatever. Same dealership chain I drove the trucks for.
