Old man emu lift kit

Hey guys I’m new to the site and Toyota’s. I’ve found a complete kit for sale in my area and I was curious what it’s worth? They are wanting $1350 for the kit and I’m not sure if that’s a good price or not. What do you think?IMG_3689.jpg

What’s the kit part number?
They have one that is $800 and one that is $1200 and some that is $3100 BP-51. That one looks like the $1200 one.

Thanks OR17TRD. So since the springs are mounted and it comes with a diff drop kit, brake extensions, and axle shims the worth it? This is for a 2013 double cab and it has the 885 springs. Don’t want to insult the guy but I considered offering him $1000 for the kit.

You don’t need the diff drop kit. It’s not hard to mount the springs and you probably won’t need the brake extensions. I’d offer him $1000 and wouldn’t be worried about offending him. He’ll say yes or no and you could get a decent deal on a lift.

I finally got this kit bought and picked up on Sunday. Can’t wait to get it installed soon. I’m looking in to what else I need before I start the install. Looks like it’s pretty easy to get installed. The leaf pack has seven leafs on it. Is that the med or heavy duty springs?

It’s the heavy. Which is better IMO. Due to that you can take a leaf out to make it a medium if it’s to firm. I’m pretty sure it’s the third one up from the bottom that you can remove for that. How are you liking the OME kit? What did you end up paying for it? If you don’t mind me asking. Just curious because of your OG post.

That’s good. I have a shell on it and I tow a trailer at times. As long as it’s not to rough I’ll leave it in.
I ended up giving him $1100 for it. I felt that was pretty fair.
I haven’t installed it yet. I was off over Christmas but it was to cold to do it. Then I got rear ended last Saturday so now I’m gonna what till after the truck is repaired.
I’ll definitely get picks and let you know when I get it in.

So I’m hoping to have my truck back from having the bumper installed next week. I plan on trying to get the lift kit installed over next weekend. Does anybody know approximately how long it will take to do the install? Springs and shocks are already mounted together. I should have all the tools needed and the ability to get this done, just wandering how long it would take?

Should only take a half a day. Depends on how many breaks/beers you take and if you have someone helping you or not. Also depends on your skills with mechanical things.

I’ve only drove a couple of miles so far and what a nice ride! I thought it would be much rougher! So far great ride. No more front dropping when coming to a stop.
