New billies

Depends on your needs and use of the vehicle. I wouldn’t get 18x9” rims if you go off road at and want to air your tires down. Widest I’d go with 285’s is 8.5”, widest I’d go with 265’s is 7.5”
7-8” would be ideal for 285’s if you plan on airing down and taking it off roading. For every inch of rim you take away an inch of tire decreasing ride quality as well and side wall.
16” rim you’ll have 2” more tire sidewall than the 18” rim.
Something to think about.
Obviously do whats good for you and what you like.

I’m about to order my new 5100s paired with a set of ome 887 coils and just wondering if I’m going to need to upgrade my uca’s when I do this. I plan on putting 285/75/16. If I can wait on the uca’s that would be best so I can get a nicer pair.

You’ll honestly have to see if you can get the alignment right. That’s going to be the tell if you need new ones sooner than later. Have it done at a shop that knows what their doing and you should be ok until you want to replace them.

I would like to get some total chaos arms but they are a little pricey. I can afford the light racing arms but don’t know if they are worth it

Lots of people seem to like the light racing. I have no real world experience with them so I can’t say.

I think I will stick with the TC arms as I’ve been reading on the light racing arms saying the bushings and the actual ball joints have a good amount of problems with them.

If you can splurge on the TC arms you won’t regret it. I haven’t had experience with Light Racing either but I’ve beat the hell out of some TC’s! Good flexibility and much stronger arms/ joints. Probably will end up with some on this truck one day.

Thanks for all the input guys I just have one more question. I’m getting 887 coils for my 5100s and want to put them on the 2” notch so they aren’t maxed out. About how much lift have you gained at this setting. If anyone has it setup like this let me know

Set the 5100’s to 0 the 887 coils will provide the lift. You’ll get about 2.5” out of it.

Super excited because I put my order in for my lift today through headstrong did the 887 coils and set them to be assembled at 0 like OR17TRD recommended. Went with the tc uca as I read some bad things on the LR arms my luck I would get a bad pair. Is there anything you can recommend to do when installing this. I did not get a diff drop so it should be fairely easy just time consuming as I am doing new rotors and pads also. If you have any info on installing let me know.

There’s a few good YouTube videos out there. Other than that take your time and get an alignment when it’s done. Pictures are always welcomed :)

Should i use my stock springs from my off road? Or the bullies I bought already have sport springs on them. Which would y’all recommend?

Are you asking if you should leave the coil over bilsteins the way they came or take the coils off and use the stock off road coils with the bilsteins shocks?

Pretty much. I bought them 2nd from a guy and he put the sport coils off his trd sport. I have to turn them up anyway. And I’m wondering if the off road coils that I currently have on my stock shocks would be better
