Need help with getting lift and tires.

Tires depends on you’re needs. Do you drive more on dry pavement or wet or snow or mud and how much off-roading will you be doing.

Is it too late to tell you to take off the diff drop garbage??? You won’t find many people on here that support the installation of this diff drop kit.

Haven’t placed the order yet. Is there a reason why? Even if mine is a 4x4?

Yes, even if you are 4x4. I ran a similar Toytec kit as you are looking at for many years problem free after throwing that diff drop kit in the scrap pile.

I am using the diff drop that came with the Toytec Boss kit. Why would you NOT use it as part of the complete kit?

Many people have had issues with these diff drop kits; vibrations, bearing issues, (changing the angle of the diff rotates the oil level away from the pinion bearing and the ring gear does not sling oil on the bearing), the CV angles aren’t corrected enough for me personally to justify changing OE hardware, and with bump stop/ limit strap corrections and the correct ride height your factory axles will not be stressed anyhow.

The Toytec diff drop is specifically made for the kit. Why would a manufacturer add it if not needed or more importantly do damage? That makes no sense to me.

There’s so many threads on these things, here and TW. Do your own research, learn from your own experiences, draw your own conclusions and pass along what you’ve learned when asked. Have a great day!

Roger that. Was just trying to cut to the chase and get some answers. Thanks all and sorry that I bombarded everyone with my questions.

I was not implying you are wrong, just curious why it would not be needed. I would think if it causes damage it would void any factory warranty? If that's the case I will remove mine. In fact, I will remove it and go for a drive and see if I get any vibration. If none, I will leave it off if it may hurt the diff.

From my understanding, if you change a part or make a modification and that part or mod causes damage, anything damaged by that part or mod will not be covered. My personal opinion is that I see little to no benefit of the “dinky” little bolts and spacers that they call a diff drop kit and have seen and read of many issues caused by them. I like Toytec products but again, this is my opinion, the diff drop kit was a flawed idea.

No its not, they had useless diff drops well before this kit was out.
