Heading out folks! Gotta work in the am but have the afternoon off tomorrow and the BP Fab recovery bracket s'pose to be here so gonna install it! Have a great rest-o-the-evenin and will talk at ya in the am over coffee!

Yes mountainburg . It’s real close to alma. This is all what I’ve heard closer to Oklahoma than me. Lol

Just curious anyone here ever had trouble removing the rear drums on a 22r pickup. Had a ton of trouble parking brake was off I undid the ratcheting system from behind and still no luck. The drum wobbled but wont come off. Anyone got any tips, advice, or ideas on what causes this and what to do to get it off. Its origional drums from what I've been told by my grandad and dad who've owned it since new and has probably been sitting for around 10 years

Hey Nick. When I was doing brake jobs I'd take a hammer and lightly tap around the drum to loosen it up.....as you said, make sure the parking brake is off and the adjustment wheel is turned down (counter-clockwise)

Well I tried tapping it with a hammer and it did seem to help but still had no luck. On the truck where you adjust it is on the back. When you use one screw driver to hold back the piece of metal to keep that wheel and you use another screwdriver to roll the cog do you push the cog to where it spins upward or downwards from the back? Any chance something broke and is hanging the drum in the wear grove?

When you rotate the wheel the adjuster block sits on top so turning the adjusting wheel clockwise or up is expanding the shoes........you want to hold the adjuster block out and rotate the wheel down or counter-clockwise to 'close-down' the shoe for hub removal. If you've got the adjuster wheel all the way down you might tap the front of the hub as rust will sometimes form between the hub and your wheel studs......that might be what's holding it on.

Ok well thanks ill have to try it again next weekend and dont you have to do it opposite ways on the opposite sides of the truck.

No.....same way on both sides. Left or right......no difference on the adjusting wheel.

Calling it a day folks.......satellite office tomorrow so gotta be up early! Have a great evening......talk at ya later!

Did a little fishing out towards the ocean from Tromsø. Wifey caught the biggest and the first fish! That’s my girl! Some ladies on the boat made an amazing soup with the fish we caught, can’t get any fresher than that!

Toured the Anne Frank House when we got back to Amsterdam. The model house in the pic was an old pharmacy that the family lived in for around 2 years. They stayed in the top part with the red roof. The windows were blacked out and weren’t visible from any angle on the street or surrounding buildings. Kind of a hard read but the book/ diary is still an amazing read to have been written by a 13 year old girl.
