Anyone buying the New 2016-2018 TRD PRO Grilles selling for under $150

Ordered one off eBay on Sunday for $119 with free shipping. Arrived on Friday well packed in a nice box via FedEx. Quality looks nice.

I haven't looked at installing it yet, does anyone have a tip to share?

Simple to remove the complete assembly off the truck. Lay it face down on a piece of carpet. Remove all the trim ring screws first. Then slowly unlock the clips from the trim ring and grill. After you install the new grill be patient and make sure every clip locks. If not you will see gaps after you install the assembly on the truck. Also test fit the center section. If yours is a 2 piece like mine you may need to take a razor knife and trim the areas that are cutout on the ends. I had to do this so the screws would pull the section in flush. If you don't have the 2 piece grille then this is not an issue.
See the attached pic. The yellow arrows show where some trim work was needed in the grooves of the larger grille so the insert would sit flush after it was assembled.

I have been considering the same thing. A lot of open space for summer creatures to fly into. Where did you buy the mesh material. Did you simply use tie straps to hold it in place.

Good old Walmart,, rolls come in different lengths..Cut it to fit and used Clear silicone,,airflow did come to mind,,Did this to my Ford,,didn`t seem to affect it even when weather was hot in mid summer

Been sitting on my stock Sport grille since November and I don't know why. Now that I got the headlights I think it would look real funky to throw the old grille back on it. Maybe make it a welcoming sign over the garage door. Maybe use it for target practice. Perhaps hang it by a string on a tree to scare the crows away. Better yet cut off the tabs and 3m tape it to my tailgate.

Any problems installing these on a 2018 because of TSS?
The actual Toyota Pro grille for the 2018 is nearly as cheap as the 2016-2017 Pro knockoff grille. Get the correct part number for the 2018 and check midatlantictoyotaparts.com for the price. You have to pay around $50 extra for the garnish piece but still under $250 total for the correct tss friendly grille. You lucky dude. It is 1 part number different than 2017.
