    Extended Warranty decisions

I have a 2019 Tacoma (Off Road, Midnight Black edition) with about 35k miles and the lease ending in October. I am thinking about buying this vehicle off lease, as the residual value is less than the present resale value. With that said, I am considering an extended warranty with the lease...

    2017 TRD Off Road Towing

I recently purchased a hard-side pop-up camper, with a weight of about a ton. I have only had two experiences towing this trailer, and so far I have been less than impressed with the Tacoma's performance. The truck (6cyl. auto) seems challenged by the weight of the trailer, the transmission...

    adapting gen 2 truck cap

I have recently purchased a 2017 Tacoma Access Cab and wanted to adapt my gen 2 cap for use (it is an aluminum work cap). While the rail dimensions work fine, the tail gate changes of the 17 taco do not match the cap door (there is a curve in the 17 tailgate). So before I settle on either buying...

I will look for link....actually the lights, wiring, etc. were of pretty good quality

    Fog lights

I added fog lights to my 2015 Tacoma. Lessons learned: 1. Most trucks are pre-wired 2. Amazon/ e-bay offers very reasonable fog light kits. The hardware is pretty standard. The biggest issue is that the switch is not necessarily compatible with all trucks (4-pin vs. 5-pin) . You may have to...

    Fog lights

I got the plug-in package from E-bay-no directions and no relay included, I have the lights and switch installed.....no need to add relay, but since there was no directions I am not sure what type of relay is needed and where it should be installed in the fuse box, (The Tacoma directions are...

    fog light installation

ok....so this is where t stands. I received my OEM switch and installed it.....no problem. Turned on power and lights and nothing. Viewed video once more on You Tube and purchased a 12 volt relay (4 pin) and installed (according to the parts store this was the relay for the fog lights on my...

    2015 V6 performance

I have had my Tacoma now for nearly 18 months and I have to admit that there are times the engine performance is sluggish....no balls, I am not a gearhead, so I m looking for ideas that will make this truck operate as it should, but not take a skilled mechanic to fix....any thoughst?

    fog light installation

Awaiting delivery of my 4-pin switch from a Toyota parts place in Florida. I had checked with the local dealership and they wanted $68 for the switch....and it also would have to be ordered by them! Should be here in a few days and then we'll see, I am saving nearly $30.00 by going this route.

    fog light installation

Well I got the lights installed today....finally. The problem is that the company that I purchased the lights from provided a 5-PIN switch, while the pre-wired connection is 4-pin....unbelievable!

    fog light installation

According to my dealership yes. The actual story is that I had made arrangements for the dealer to install last weekend. About a month prior I had the dealer look at the truck to confirm that it was pre-wired-which they did at the time. So I bring it to the un-named dealer in Latham NY, at the...

    fog light installation

I have a 2015 Tacoma that came without fog lights. I recently purchased a set of OEM lights via e-bay. Any suggestions on installation? There was a video on you tube, but I believe it may have been pulled off the air, as it is no where to found these days. Thanks
