My 2013 has a ticking sound also. But not as bad as that. The dealership never said anything about it. It has always bugged me. I have just over 50k miles on it. Maybe it’s the fuel pump everyone keeps mentioning.

Yes. No problems. But I had to go buy some tools. It was a somewhat expensive error. I’ve been taking care of maintenance on my cars for almost 40 yrs. That was a first.

It’s automatic. I had some “help” while changing my oil. I screwed up and drained 3.5 qts of tranny fluid instead. Dope! There was some good info posted to my original question. Thanks

I had a 2004 4Runner. I changed the oil every 10k and the filter every 5k. I only used Castrol syntec. I got 365k miles out of that engine.

I have 50k miles on my 2013. Just changed the oil myself. Pulled out of the driveway only to have my tranny slip in first gear. I can’t figure out how to check the fluid. Anyone know? Here I am sitting on the side of the road. Thanks

They change my sticker every 5k too. What was the mileage?

I would ask them if they are changing the oil every 5k or 10k miles. I bet it's only every 10k. Curious to hear what they tell you.
