I recently bought a 3" front and 2" in the rear spacer kit for $300. I don't intend to go off road but I just liked the look of a lifted truck. After doing the front I put a 4' level on the top edge of the box and the truck was now perfectly level. I really liked that look. Then later I decided...
I got the 2" spacers installed yesterday and the back end is definitely higher but no more of an angle than stock. I don't know why they call it a leveling kit because it's only level if you don't do the back end lift. I'm happy though and will leave the blocks in.
I decided to spend my Father's Day afternoon installing the 2" spacer blocks in the rear that came with the 3" spacer lift up front. As someone said, I've paid for them so why not install them. The new U-bolts are so long that I would need at least a 3" deep impact socket to tighten them. I...
Here is what I did to solve the problem. These are 18w Cree LED's and the 12" wire that comes off these lights is the perfect length to reach the tail light assembly on each side. It did require drilling a hole in the plastic bumper cap. I got these on Amazon and only cost about $55.00 for the...
Here are the pics finally uploaded from my phone. The first pic almost makes it look lower in the front. The photo was taken after doing a 3" front lift. The kit came with 2" blocks for the rear but I don't think it needs it. The truck is perfectly level without a load. Thanks Demo Man.
Demo Man, I didn't have the Tacoma App. so I'm loading it now. Your instructions are spot on. Because my internet speed is very slow, like 2 Mbps, it will take about 10 minutes to download the app. Once I have it I can change my privacy settings and try to post from my phone. I'm kind of old...
A couple of days ago I completed installing my Supreme Suspension 3" spacer lift on my 2012 Tacoma DCLB 4x4. The kit also included spacers to drop the transfer case about 1 1/2" to reduce the driveshaft angles to the front wheels and also small spacers for the back two bolts on the skid plate to...
Thanks Napalm. So, you're saying that with only a 3" lift up front that an alignment shop won't be able to do a perfect alignment unless I add longer upper arms?
I have a 2012 Tacoma TRD Sport 4wd truck. I want to lift it front and rear for a more aggressive look and to level it out. I also want to at least maintain the factory ride. Do I need new longer shocks like the Bilstein 5100's or can I use the stock shocks? I noticed that some lift kits come...
