I took my back 3 times and finally they came back and assured me that this was the way it was designed to work and leak into the drip pan ! Fortunately it has never leaked inside the truck . I gave up soon as it leaks inside the truck it's going back for good
So I took mine in for the noise that was happening around 55 mph from the passengers side. Service manager and I went for a drive so he could hear it for himself he heard it and explained it as something called ring and pinion. He also has the same truck as I do 2016 Tacoma 4door trd sport...
I am just getting ready to trade it in . From the sunroof that you can watch leak into the channels everytime it rains , to the noise that came from the lower swing arm holes and know the wind noise at 55
They found the problem on mine the swing arms have holes in them . They plugged them and no more wind noise at 40 mph . Now I get on at exactly at 55 lol . Just can't win
I just got off the phone with him again because iam still dealing with my windshield and I asked him about the tsb and he said it hasent come in yet but they went ahead and fixed the problem with the wind noise I live in Mass and use Falmouth Toyota
I just got off the phone with the dealership and they said something is coming out because he asked me about the wind noise and they said it it coming from the holes in the swing arms and they are plugging them some how
Thanks for that ! I took it back to dealer and they said it was out of adjustment . So they adjusted it and supposedly did a water test . But low and behold the next rainstorm sure enough it started leaking again . Now it going back to dealer overnight for some expert to look at . Let's hope...
I have a 2016 TRD sport and I have been noticing a wind noise that usually starts around 40mph and if I get on the hwy at faster speeds occasionally it gets really loud. Has anyone identified the source yet?
