    2020 Tacoma Engine Hesitation

Check out the shift since pro. Read about it on the DZ Custom website and draw your own conclusions. I’ve had one for 3 years and love it. It solves most of the problems and makes the truck drive like it is supposed to.

    Purchase 2018 TRD?

I’m 6’ 1” and I am very comfortable in my trdor. I also have the useless sunroof and do not have any headroom problem. Mine is a 2016 TRDORLB.

    2018 Taco Sport Revs high

Sometimes the truck responds differently in “S” mode than it does in drive when shifting from first to second. It feels like the transmission is in sixth gear and when you punch it, then it will shift to first. This is when I take off after stopping. I haven’t had this happen in “S” mode or with...

    2018 Taco Sport Revs high

I have experienced the problem where the engine revs but the truck doesn’t move or respond accordingly. Usually this happens when I try to pull out into heavy traffic and is scary. It happens rarely but when it does, it’s always at a bad time. I have had all of the transmission updates and the...

    Lug Studs

Sounds like during the 30,000 mile service the lug nuts were over torqued. The largest cause of lug bolt breakage is over torquing.

    Transmission questions

I had the same problem on my ‘07 Tundra and I did the same procedure that you described. Greasing the splines, the slip joint and also where it connects to the transmission, solved the problem for the next 80,000 miles. My ‘16 Tacoma TRD OR Long bed sometimes exhibits this clunking problem after...

2018 trd sport drivetrain is issue

Get a Shift Sense Pro, and grease the drive shaft splines. The splines are where the driveshaft enters the transmission or transfer case. This should stop the axle wrap bump. Mine is a 4wd lb and I don’t have the problem, but I did on my Tundra and greasing stopped the bump.

    Navigation question

Unfortunately Toyota didn’t decide to use Garmin software for their Nav program. Garmin’s are much easier to use and provide more information.

    Ride from hell

Shift Sense Pro solves so many problems that It’s a shame all 3rd Gen owners don’t try it. The Highlander shifts just as bad as the Taco it just has more sound deadening and is more airodynamic. I know spelling is wrong but the point is the same.

    Beep...beep...beep...beep...beep...aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh

When the door is open and you want to stop the beeping, just push the little button with your finger. It’s the button that the door hits when you close the door. It’s very easy to do.

    Wandering/Swaying

Shock absorbers might be contributing to the problem. I changed mine on my 07 Tundra and it made a tremendous difference. At this mileage they should be changed.

    Transmission I hate it

2017 Highlander shifts too early as well. It’s the Toyota new way of doing things on the new models. It’s more noticeable on the Tacoma since it’s heavier and is built like a brick. The Shift Sense Pro makes the shifting much better. I love mine and enjoy my truck now...
