    Travel trailers!!!

I have the same truck with the same max tow rating. GCWR is different than the max tow that the truck can pull. The problem is that you run out of payload that the truck can carry. You have to add the weight of all the cargo, you and your wife, the weight of your WD hitch and the tongue...

    Travel trailers!!!

What's your GCWR? Just looking up what the truck can tow is not the correct way to determain if it's a safe tow. The Tacoma runs out of payload before it reaches the max tow number printed it the owners manual. For example I pull a TT that weights only 4,000 lbs dry and loaded between 5,000...

    Fuel door issues

It was also a comon problem of the 2nd gen as well. Where do you get the truck serviced? As part of the service the door hinges and fuel door are lubed with Toyota spray grease. You can buy a new door but will have to paint it. Then come in black primer.

Gas mileage in my new Tacoma

Remember you mpg is higher than what's displayed because your running 265/70R17 tires. I did the math a while back and I think it's about 1mpg better with that tire size.

What was your GCWR? I pull 4,000lbs and with me, the wife, a small dog, 100lb generate and a loaded trailer I'm just under my GCWR by only 40lbs.

Gas mileage in my new Tacoma

Just did a 300 mile trip on Friday on a secondary road where speed limit is 55-60 and was getting around 25mpg. My tank average for the trip was 23mpg which included some idle time and city traffic. Forgot to add that the truck is a 2018 TRD Sport 4X4 and running OVT 87 base tune. The...

Grease fitting on 3rd Gen U-joints??

It's what Toyota decided to do. There is even a recall on the 2nd gen to replace the U joints and the replacement has no grease nipple. I'm assuming most where not servicing them so might as well do away with them.

problems with the windshield of my tacoma 2016

I don't think there is an issue with 2016 windshields. You just happen to get a defective one. The new one will be find.

    Pulling rv/camper with a gen 2

I tow around 3500-4000lbs and with my WD did not need to change anything with the rear suspension. The pic is my 2012 and my 2018 hold the weight just as well without modify the rear suspension.

    Brakes/Rust

Go in and tell them it's rail dust that wasn't removed after the vehicle arrived. They are responsible and should do the repairs. Call Toyota corp if they they say no. Lawyer up of you have to because this could be very costly if not repaired properly.

    Brakes/Rust

When the vehicles are transported by rail the train kicks up small particles on metal from the track. The metal settles on the vehicle and because the paint is still new and soft it sticks to the surface.

    Brakes/Rust

Most of the spots are rail dust from transporting the vehicle. The dealer should have removed it on the pdi inspection. If left on the spec eats it way down through the paint and eventually get bigger. Has nothing to do with brake dust.
