I've been to the off road park a total of 7 times. We stayed at a motel in Benham (Town very near Putney trail head) 2 years ago. Never a bit of trouble with the locals. I've heard rumors about the rural areas of Harlan County, but the park itself seems to be immune to the problems. What town ISN'T having issues with crime these days?
