FS 2016-2018 Taco Better Front License Bracket

Looks cleaner. I know I do not miss the big black plastic one on my truck. Just wish I could eliminate the PayPal and ebay fees. Would make them much more attractive by shaving $2 or more off the price. Oh well guess that's the price of doing business.

Approaching 125 total sales. Thanks to all that have purchased and contributed to the 100% positive feedback. Changed design slightly. Now bracket is completely hidden. Slightly shortened the lengths.

Although I have had success with the current design it does require the temporary removal of the license plate for those that use drive through car washes with the violent agitators that can possibly damage the thin aluminum license plate. I have had no complaints, however, I am addressing the concern with a new prototype that will use all 4 license plate screws, provide much better plate protection, and still remain completely hidden behind the plate. The only downside being that the plate will sit approximately 1.5" higher on the bumper. This is just a thought and is in the early stage of planning. I just want those with concerns to know I am looking into a fix where you will never need to remove the plate. Still have some machining to do and some fasteners to buy.Stay tuned.

New prototype pictures uses all 4 license plate screws and is reversible to raise or lower plate while remaining completely hidden behind the plate. And my wife asked me would I use my new milling machine. DUH.
After calculating material, labor, assembly and shipping costs this bracket will be $32.99 shipped by pre-order only. That is roughly the same price as a factory oem plastic bracket and less than half the price of a plastic BOZZmount bracket. If I get at least 20 commit to buy orders I will manufacture them. That does still include all stainless fasteners in the assembly and mounting hardware for the bracket and plate. If not then at least I have mine.20181007_163608.jpg

Thank you. I appreciate it. People have asked for something larger to use all 4 holes to hold the plate or a specialty frame. Wish I had a Chinese connection to make them cheaper. Then again there would be a $50 Trump tariff on it.

UPDATE: I think the newest bracket is both overkill and overpriced. I am taking that basic idea and making a new prototype this weekend. The new one will still be machined and jointed together, still use all 4 license plate screws, be lighter overall weight and cut the current shipping rate in half. I am trying to get the price down to roughly $25 shipped. Provided the new prototype maintains the strength without flexing I should be able to start producing them to sell in another week or two. Once I assemble and test the new one I will post some pictures. This is all in response to those that want to either use all 4 plate mounting screws or to display a specialty license plate frame. The biggest benefit being a bracket that is fully hidden and supports and protects the entire thin aluminum license plate from being bent or damaged. Having said all that I still like my original lightweight 2 screw bracket. It is plenty strong for me and I don't mind popping off the 2 screws to remove my plate for the car wash. Apparently some have an issue with that and I hope this new bracket addresses that issue as well. Thanks and stay tuned.

20181012_161238.jpg Finally assembled, tested, postal first class shipping approved full plate bracket for $26.50 delivered. With all the labor and the costs of stainless fasteners I just couldn't get it down to $25 as hoped. Still knocked price down by $6.49 from the original plan. This is only the prototype made of local store cheaper softer aluminum and it is still plenty strong. When I buy the correct material it will be even stronger. Need to order all new fasteners and materials. This is a solid product. Take a good look. I will not drill the production parts as large for the mounting holes. The way it is assembled allows the mounting flat head screws to stick out slightly so they don't need as deep of countersinks. Still reversible for low or high mounting for those with a light bar in the lower grille. Response will dictate how many to manufacture.

Due to an increase in material costs, particularly doubling prices on stainless fasteners, as well as the amount of labor involved in production, the full size bracket is limited to the original run of only 20 brackets. Not cost effective to produce and sell at $26.50.

Dang Teriffs!!

New full size replacement front license plate bracket became very popular very fast. Reversible high or low mount. Completely hidden behind license plate. All positive reviews. I made 16 that were pre-ordered. Put 3 on ebay and they sold out in 15 minutes. I made the last one yesterday and it sold in only 2 minutes after posting on ebay. These are machined and fitted together tongue and groove style. I assemble each one, test fit on a license plate, disassemble and mark the fitted joints for ease at assembly. I then temporarily assemble for shipping, package and ship free with color photo instructions in a bubble wrap protective package. All stainless fasteners, for license plate and bracket assembly, are included as are 2 stainless screws to mount to bumper with rubber isolators to protect the painted bumper. The assembly is rock solid and built to last. Aluminum plate is grade 6061 so the entire assembly is corrosion free material. I did state earlier that tariffs have at least tripled the price of stainless hardware. Regardless I have now ordered materials to make 30 more. Due to the higher priced components future releases will sell for roughly $31. The first group sold for an introductory lower price just to test the market. After receiving all positive feedback, and encouragement to continue with the product, I plan on releasing 30 per month starting by November 30.

(1) requires user assembly roughly 15 minutes (2) & (3) are a simple 5 minute swap.
