What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Plasti' dipped my grill this eve... Figured if it didn't hold up I'd just peel it off, and it'll keep the chrome protected from scratches for a while...went with the permanent route for the emblems though and used some spray paint...gloss black and a clear krylon for plastic..Wasn't breaking out the compressor, paints and air gun for some badges and Krylon is some surprisingly strong stuff after curing..even wet sanded nicely.. Left minimal orange in the end so Im happy with it.. Ill post some pics when I get some daylight..next up on the list....Smoking my Interior map/dome lens's grey because the led's i swapped in are friggin blinding, plus i think it'll look sick with the grey interior....than gonna smoke the headlights and tailights with some lightly tinted clear coat, almost to match or compliment the magnetic grey paint job.. and lastly, during so, converting the headlights, and possibly also the fog lights, to HID's..

My usual went and tanked up. 23 fill-ups so far and my average is 19.4 mpg since starting to track. Much better than the 16 I got when I 1st started. This weeks tank got me 20.2 mpg. Just tells me I finally found the happy medium for shifting my 6 speed to maximize my mpg.
After I tanked up I stopped and visited my ex wife and played with my dogs. She was off today and I got lucky, she was cooking sauce. She's Italian, so she gave me a quart of it to take home. I'll be eating some good spaghetti this week. Her sauce is killer!

Need to replace cabin filter as well, just checked mine never been changed :cursing: be getting one later today.

Yesterday: I hooked my always on 12V outlet up under the hood, works fine. Now I can use my trouble light there with plenty of cord and not have the key turned on.

Got ambitious and painted my stock rims flat black.

Could you maybe post a pic of the finished product after you painted them black?
 
Inspection yesterday. They tried giving me a hard time AGAIN about my dumped exhaust even though they have passed it the last two years like that.:whistling2:
