TRD OR shopping questions

Looking at a 2017 TRD OR that has 11,000 on it. The dealer is offering $34k, it has the Premium Tech package and a bed cover. Seems like I could get a new one for cheaper....

Go for an 18 or newer — some of the 17s were still plagued with leaky differentials. Fixed for the 18s

Not to mention 18 and up you get some minor tweaks like floor mats that are secured to the floor, etc

That’s a fair price on a 17 OffRoad with that low of miles and all the options but if you want the TSS-P and a new one you can probably scoop up an 18 for a little more.

Mine doesn’t have it. I’m fine with out it. I don’t drive far for work. I don’t drive much at all. Bought it in March and I have 5100 miles on it. If you were in the truck slot it maybe worth the extra

Tech Package is just the backup assist, blind spot monitor and cross traffic right? Nice if you have it but not a whole lot to miss.

I just bought a toyota certified used 2017 TRD Sport 4dr with 18k miles for 31K with full tech package and nice bed cover. It was listed for 34k the sales man did not think his boss would move on the price but it was the end of the month and they needed to sell so my advice would be to wait until the end of the month and then make an offer, if you wait till end of 2018 you may do even better. I was looking for mine for 2-3 months before I pulled the trigger and waiting for the right one was definitely worth it. Don't settle because its easy and available.

Welcome to the forum!!

I would have passed. I regret daily getting rid of my 2018 Tundra Limited 4x4 for this Tacoma, would dump the Tacoma in a millisecond.
I liked my Tacoma. It just had to many issues and I found a Tundra before I found a 2018/2019 taco. I’ve only driven toyota trucks and have liked them all and love/hated some :D
