Spare Tire Mounting

I have a 2015 Tacoma, access cab, V6 4x4, TRD Sport. I went from the stock tires 265/65R17 and added a 3" Toytec suspension lift and replaced the tires with Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70R17s.

Does anyone know if the new tire size for the spare will mount underneath where the stock spare mounts or if I will have to mount the spare in the bed??

Why do you want a new spare tire? It should work fine if you get a flat as long as you don't use 4X4 due to difference in tire diameter.

I've heard they do fit... U MIGHT need to massage the ears that hug the tire under the truck a little ... You may NOT.

Jack it up, spin a wheel off, drop the spare, test fit.

Thanks, I've already ordered the spare, a used one from Bestusedtires.com and didn't want to have to get a new one and wheel to match my others if it is visible.
