So I'm driving down the street today and I here what sounds like the tire rubbing the fender. I stop get out look around and see nothing. Take off again and the same. I'm like wtf! Get back home look under the truck and see what looks like rubber dripping from the carrier bearing. I pull the drive shaft and its moving a half inch in all directions.

2nd gen c/b's suck to change.

Was this the first carrier bearing going out on your truck? How many miles you get on that bearing?

When I get around to it I was thinking about having Inland Empire Driveline or JE Reel build me a custom 2 piece shaft with a better carrier bearing.

So the chevy 1500 carrier bearing will work with our trucks. Whats so different about it that makes it better than the Toyota one. @4WD what's up old man. Thanks brutha.

No the bearing was to big. The inside diameter is 30mm. The Chevy is to big. I put a Toyota bearing in. Don't know how long it will llast but it worked...
