What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Did some routine maintenance on the truck as it hit 30k. Fortunately, because of the seepage in the rear diff,Toyota performed the rear diff flush when correcting the seepage. Next on the list was oil change. Pretty basic, used oem filter, mobile1 synthetic 0-20.

However, I did do a little modification to the oil drain plug. Instead of putting back the original drain plug I added a fumoto drain plug. Hopefully this will save me 5-10 minutes in the future and much cleaner drainage of the oil to the pan.7E8F1CF1-9D69-427B-BB92-E773284B8121.jpeg

Changed the cabin air filter to the k&n and just took out and shook my intake filter. Lol let me know if this is a bad idea but it looked pretty clean.

Retorqued and greased uca’s, greased the only nipple on the shaft. Couldn’t find any more is this the only one on the 18’s?

If the intake looks clean and you can see light through it it’s still working. Shake out the big stuff and run it for a while. Check it later.
Got a link for that oil drain valve?

One of the first things I installed on my '17 OR was the Fumoto drain valve......works great......I start draining the crankcase then go to work on the filter. When done with the filter the oil is done and flip the lever up and put the small lock on. Easy and have not noticed any leaks at any time!
