Navigation App Issues

So my new 2017 Taco OffRoad and I are getting familiar with each other. I put in a couple of key addresses into the Entune Navigation App.

And I got a big surprise!!

It says the routes to my parent's house is twenty miles longer than what any Mapping app on my phone has said.

As I've driven the routes many years, I definitely know that the Entune is wrong!!!

Checked it from 3 different spots, over a week period. All updates have been installed.

Thoughts? Experiences? Fixes?

When you got from the deliver ship did you have them check to make sure the map software is updated to the latest software.

I’ve used the Entune Navigation a few times and found it to be pretty accurate. I noticed the mileage difference from my iPhone navigation but it seems to update the mileage and correct as you drive.
That being said, there’s a lot of roads that aren’t updated. It seems that the Navigation software is a couple of years out of date with road names.
While connected to my iPhone data through the Entune app it does do great with notifying me about traffic issues ahead like accidents and road work.

That's one of the main reasons I always use Waze etc. Car navigation systems are always behind then a couple years later they have an update and charge $200 for it. Just my experience. I just want to mount my 7" tablet in my dash as my head unit...

Very true. Waze just sucks a lot of data is the only reason I don’t use it too much. It is a great app if you’re on main interstates or heavily traveled roads.

I can tell you that you always have to use only license software. Doesn't matter what kind of app are you going to use. I prefer to check prices at http://cheapoemsoft.com/ which in my opinion is the best website for any software.

twenty miles longer

I'll get a spurious direction when I fail to enter all the details. For example, "Main St" is entered but not "North" Main St.

Otherwise, it's pretty accurate except for the last 100 yards when it tells me "You've arrived..." but, not quite.
