Jerking While Stopped and Stopping

So the manual transmission doesn’t ever have axel wrap? Do they have better leaf packs.
My understanding of axel wrap is that the axel is able to rotate due to weak leaf springs causing a snap back that feels like you get bumped after stopping.
Am I missing something?

I have never experienced that with my 2006 standard transmission. But others say it happens to them when it’s really cold out. Than again I live in California so it never gets that cold.

My ‘10 has done it. My ‘16 and ‘17 did it, and my wife’s 07 Sequoia does it. It’s definitely axle wrap. Especially if it’s when you stop harder than normal. Putting the transmission in neutral WILL cause it not to happen because the torque on the rear axle has been removed. As others have said, “it’s normal” in Toyota’s.

I've honestly never felt this extra bump after I stop. Your argument makes perfect sense but I figured I never experienced it because I always roll up to a stop in N or at least with the clutch engaged... [emoji2369] no idea... lol. I've also had the Dakar leaf packs since just before 20k... there's no way the axle wraps as much with them as the stock springs...
There's a guy on YouTube, that did a video with stock springs and blocks. The a$$ wrap was horrendous but apparently identical to a stock Tacoma according to another video...

You won’t get it if you don’t stop.
