I have a 07 Tacoma and was told I could not get a remote to lock & unlock doors for this model. Anyone else encountered this problem.

Yes, has power door locks and windows. Toyota dealership in Monroe, La said I could not gets remotes for it,

Odd, call another dealership and give them your VIN from the truck.
Im not sure if they are right or not. Do you have a red blinking light just above the climate control when the truck is off and the key isnt nearby?

I bought a cheap fob for my 09 from amazon. They send you a link to program it yourself. Works just fine. Didn’t have to pay a locksmith

Why would you need a locksmith to program a keyless entry remote anyway?

I bought 2 key fobs for my 10 off eBay. The process to programming them seems like a joke with all the opening and shutting doors, but they work perfect.

Yeah it kinda makes you feel like a fool tryin to program them
Call absolute lock & & safe San Antonio tx . Ask him your ?; he will save u hundreds of $ . Don’t go to dealer. Mayb he can point u in right direction wherever u r. Check google
