Hello everyone! Picked up a 2019 Tacoma "TSS Off-Road", at least that's what the sticker on the bed says. Only 5700 miles on the clock so it's practically new.

One question I have that y'all might be able to answer; although it's a 2WD, it is designated off-road? What makes it a Off-Road model? Thanks guys!20191108_105332.jpg20191109_091610~2.jpg

Id have questions about it actually being an " off road" model. I'm new to the toyota world as I just bought my first toyota 11 months ago so I'm not well versed on all the options and models. Beings that you bought it used id venture a guess that someone bought an sr5 and added some decals. That one is identical to my sr5 if I was to put those wheels and tires on mine

I just googled the tss package and it's not a factory package. Its a way a dealer or group of dealers has of dressing up a base or nearly base model to make it look better and get more money out it. My sr5 came from Southeast toyota dealers and it has led fog lamps, preditor side steps, hard bed cover , and black crome exhaust tip that were all a dealer installed package. All the eye candy stuff don't make it an "off road".

The 2wd does come in an Off-road model. It means that it has an electronic locking rear differential. The TSS is not a Toyota model that I know of, but the other half of the sticker is. Check for a knob or button for you to engage the rear differential. If there is one, then indeed it is the Off Road model.

It does have the knob for the LSD. Thank you for the info!
