stock radio volume

Has anyone else noticed that the volume when playing cd's or using the bluetooth connection is reduced well below the am/fm radio?

And what is with the phone rings on incoming calls? I can hear the phone when it rings but do not receive any tones when texts are received?

Thoughts?
 
I found that when you upload music from CD's or thumb drives to other music sites that can host your music so you can download and customize personal music tracks to another device you must do the following.

Most have a volume setting on their site which needs to be turned up to the MAX setting before up loading your music. This should make the volume control stay the same on all your music.

I also found that Apple Ipod users are MP4 and Toyota is only friendly with MP3 uploads for their USB side. So to convert, go to this free download that can make that happen.

I plug in my $12 thumb drive into the USB port and listen to my 300+ most favorite songs with no wires attached...

Blue tooth is connecting directly to your cell phone wireless plan. So basically its like a router in your home; only you will be using your cellular phone wireless data minutes which can get more costly.

If youre only using the ipod you're not using data. If Youre using pandora/spotify/iheartradio/etc. youre using data. I just use the music on my iphone. Got plenty on it.

Yea so I have notice that the volume sucks with bluetooth for sure. Even turning up my volume on my phone and iTunes and whatnot all the way. There's gotta be some sort of equalizer or sound limit in the settings that I'm not thinking of or finding.. Thoughts maybe?
 
In I-tunes go to your main music list that shows all of your music. Highlite every song, go under the file tab and select "Get Info". When that window opens select options and adjust the slider for volume to maximum. Click ok. You will need to sync your device for the changes to take effect. This will help the volume issue significantly. Also when using Bluetooth for music the volume is adjustable on your device as well as the radio.
 
Yea I found that I could control it with my iPhone with the side buttons or my radio, but even maxed out its still terrible.. So thanks for that info CFD.. Ill have to give that a try
 
Now next question. As my
In dash touch screen only has music/Bluetooth...Has anyone with the same found a maps/navigation app that will at least chime Or speak through the Bluetooth set up? Will connecting through the USB port help with this? I haven't tried yet but some people said you can pull up the screen and stuff and its like having actual navigation with certain in-dash setups
 
My waze GPS app speaks through my Bluetooth when in use with no problems. If I remember right I had to set it to enable Bluetooth in the actual waze app. Hope that helps.
 
I keep my Apple iPod plugged in to the Tacoma with no vole issues . When I a Download onto the iPod I never have to adjust the volume to have it loud enough and clear in the truck

I realise bluetooth is great...i have it on my ps3!! :w00t: but as far has havin it in my truck, i see no need for it. if anyone wants to call my cell phone whilst im drivin, leave a message and ill call them back when able to..and besides my '08 dosen't have that feature so im not bothered!!:thumbup:

With the Bluetooth option when u have a text that comes in. It will say new text. And then u have a option for the radio to read it. But I believe it is only when u r in Bluetooth mode on the truck. I am using a galaxy note 3.
 
I've been a fan of XM radio for the past 6 years or so, so i use the aux input on my '13 AC for that. I do find that I have to max out the volume when I'm listening to XM or even AM/FM. When I listen to songs from my iPhone via Bluetooth the volume at max blows me away. Haven't even tried listening to a CD yet or connecting my iPod through the USB port. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. I like not having to dig my phone out of my pocket if I get a call while driving.
