Camper shell Lock problem.

I recently bought a Tacoma Truck with a Camper shell I guess one calls it.

Anyway, it has two closing handles, one on each side of the shell that one closes or opens by simply turning the handle 180 degrees.
There is a key lock on each but I don't have the keys, they were "Lost"!.

What is the best way to fix this situation? I want the locks to work so just some passerby can't simply help themselves to whatever! YES, I realize they aren't a "Vault", but at least, something! My area is getting so bad, something is better than nothing!!

New handles.

Go to a locksmith, they should be able to cut you a key by the code number that should be on the lock cylinder next to the key slot.

I'll try a locksmith he will probably (maybe!) be cheaper than buying new handles, if anything is cheap these days.

You might want to have that locksmith change the locks for 1 key, and not use the same lock. He can change the tumbler arrangement in the lock by pulling the cylinder out and then make a key. No telling who has the key to those locks. Hate to see you get just a key and then have stuff stole.

Shouldn't cost much more to have that done. I did that on a house I bought. Bought 1 new door lock and had all the other locks changed to match the new key. That way I knew for sure nobody who lived there previously had a spare key.

I have a leer 100xq fisherman cap for my 2003 tacoma and have had a few problems with it. First the glass door never closes properly even after taking it back to the dealer. Second, a few months ago I noticed the paint cracking around where the hinges are mounted. The dealer sent the cap back to leer. Leer made me a new cap.Third, I washed my truck two days ago and noticed the paint coming off above the cap door. The dealer said the door was not properly adjusted and rubs on the shell every time I open it , probably just repaint it for me. Then said the door on these caps has to be adjusted periodically.But all in vain.Then i called Locksmith plantation.They resolve my problem.
