Loudest street legal horn

Anything louder than stock is probably illegal everywhere. Check your local laws.

I routinely hear motorcycles that are louder than the stock horn on a most cars. On the other hand, my stock honda accord horn was LOUD.

No time to learn where local laws are or to find them or to read them or to interpret them. That's why I ask, in case anyone happens to know already.

Probably best just to ask a cop next time I see one.

Unless I do something moronically pathetically dumb like imitating a the sound of an emergency vehicle horn, then it probably falls under public disturbance or something like that. But if it sounds like an 18 wheeler then who can complain? Probably within the cop's judgement call.

Rofl! You have time to make a thread yet no time to do a simple google search?

The stock horns are loud enough IMO as long as they are working properly.

That'll get you some attention lol

Now see, I think that sounding like a train (or a police car, or fire truck, etc) is not good.

I personally feel that those should be illegal. If they aren't illegal then they are bad.

Nobody should ever need to question for even a split second whether or not they are hearing a real emergency vehicle horn or a train horn.

I'm just thinking about this for fun, and for safety on the turnpike. An 18 wheeler horn might be cool??

I don't mind getting a $30 ticket.

But I don't want anyone getting hurt.

Lmao. See I start off tapping my horn at a light when I turns green and the idiot in front of me is not moving cuz they are to busy with their phone. And if they don't move after a tap of the horn I give them a blast of my air horn. They seem to move after that.

Just look into a train horn kit. I'm sure they have different levels of sound you can choose from.

Anyone know what the loudest street legal horn is that I can install instead of the stock horn?[/QUOTE
Hey it really don't matter, rather it's a emergency vehicle horn,or train or truck,I have something that changes my horn,I forget what it's called but like I can make my truck sound like a train,18 wheeler general lee etc etc

I know these threads are OLD, but I am new. I always install the "freeway blaster" on all my vehicles, its an electronic duel frequency air horn. As far as legal? The way I see it is if its not louder than a semi its legal.
