I don't think it looks that bad. I'll have to see one in person. I think with some mods it could look pretty sweet.

True. To be honest. The only thing I don't like the looks of the grille and headlights. And the wheels. I do like how they stamped tacoma on the tailgate. Makes me think if a hybrid is next for the tacoma.

I wanna see all the different versions too. This looks like a Limited model. I want to see a more off road / aggressive version.
 
I said the same thing when the 2nd generation came out. Took me till 2014 for the 2nd gen styling to settle in fort liking. We'll see how the 3rd gen settles in.

I agree , it has to have some serious mechanical improvement for it settle in among the enthusiasts
 
It appears to be just another face lift and Not as good as the last one.

I don't mind some of the differences but looking at those pics it is so obvious they didn't put much effort into it. I see a 2006 cab with a slapped on sequoia / Four runner dog house and a miniature tundra bed on either end.
 
God, that's even worse.

Scrap the wheels, tires, wannabe sliders, the 10,000 led's, chrome mirrors, dog house and bed and then you might have something.
 
I think most of us are putting our expectations too high. I actually like the new look, subtle changes to the exterior, but the interior is a major improvement. The interior is miles ahead of gm's new look and it's still a simple design. Can't wait to check it out at the auto show this year.
