Tool Boxs

Okay I'm torn between low pro and standard profile. I like that the low pro sits lower on the back windshield but I also like that the standard is up higher off the bottom of the bed so you can fit more under it.

Does anyone have a tool box? I'm open to ideas I just need some extra storage. Just trying to see what other people have done and what works best.

I have a black diamond plate high profile tool box from Better Built, definitely a quality box. I can't remember how much it cost but I think it was around $400. As far as low profile vs. standard I'd say it's personal preference, whatever you like the looks of better on your truck

Didn't seem like I'd miss it but when you have to load long stuff that extra 8" off the floor is more convenient and useful than you realize. Went from a 6' box with tool box to 5' box without and it can be a struggle with boards or 4x8 panels

Ya I've thought about that. Good thing is it's just attached with J hooks drilled through the box so I can take it out really easily if I need to haul long pieces of wood or something.

Went with the UWS low pro and I love it so far! I saw a bunch of posts about people finding them in stores but I checked everywhere locally and nobody carried a black diamond plate 63" so I gave up and just ordered it online.
I have the exact same toolbox and I love it. I drove 3 hours to get it and have it installed at Agri-Supply in Eastern, NC

Yes I love it! I'm going to cut out and old husky floor liner to put in the bottom to keep all my tools from sliding around.

I also have the UWS low profile. I like the look and the room. Although something to think about is if you plan on also running a tonneau with it you would need a high profile so the latches clear.
