My oil filter just don't to come off, this Tacoma is new to me and who ever did the last oil change tightened the oil filter to the max I've tried every trick, removing the tire and no way, I guess the only other thing is to remove the attachment to the engine block were the oil filter is attached, and then put it on a vice and wrench it off. Any suggestion from more knowledgeable people.

Try a rubber strap wrench. I had a Blazer I bought do the same and a metal strap wrench would slip on it. I had to wedge a socket extension between the filter and the band to get it to grip.

I've seen strap wrenches crush and even tear a filter in half and it still wouldn't come off. The best thing to do is to use a cap wrench and a long breaker bar with a pipe on it if you have the room. If that doesn't work, try a strap and if it gets crushed, you go to plan C which is to use a chisel to tap it off. Don't us the chisel to cut the filter off, use it on the outside perimeter of the base to get a bight on it so it can turn the filter off.

That is going to be my next step, thanks.
