Hey everyone I just got a 2005 Tacoma prerunner from a guy I know and there's no problems whatsoever. I'm really excited to get to work on it as it's my first truck! And I was just wondering what are your opinions on the first things I should do to it? Where do I start with it? Please feel free to leave any personal experiences with anything involving your own with the first modifications or the truck in general. Thank you.

I have an 05 TRD 4x4 double cab I bought new, regular routine maintained, now with 175k miles and the only things that have ever given me problems are the AC fan went out this year. I replaced a strut in 2007 (my fault) and the a/c fan only works on high (learned to live with that). Minor problems are the mud flaps break pretty easy and the passenger sun visor is a peace of sh t and if you use it will break the hing (replaced it twice and then just repaired it with a screw, repair one has lasted) and I live in AZ and cooked the temp/compass at the 3yr mark and would have cost $900 to fix (yea right) so I put in an $20 after market. Other than these small issues, best vehicle I have ever owned. Tires, batteries, gas, oil changes, tune ups., serpentine belt, and cabin air filters. I changed the radiator fluid and hoses at 90 K.

Fan on high is the blower motor resistor.

Blown overhead temp/compass is a resolder of the 510 resistor.
