I am going to rent a trailer and tow my Datsun 280Z to a paint shop. I have a 2015 Tacoma double cab, V6, 4X4. SR5, auto trans, factory tow package. Need to know what the tow rating is for a trailer and car. Anybody know? Thanks....

If you don't especially need the numbers but just want to be sure it's capable, absolutely. In fact it's far more capable than the numbers imply.

No offence and I mean that, but I have to call bs on that. Trucks were made for hauling and that's what true truck people do with them. Many more people these days are dressing them up in cute outfits and hauling nothing but kids and groceries, but to some of us a truck has always been the first piece of gear in our arsenal of tools and understand its limitations. For a great many of us our tools alone reach those rated figures before we even head to the material yard. If tradesmen laid aside common sense and rely only on the figures in the paperwork we'd all be driving 5 ton stake beds just to cover our arses.
If some retard is trying to pull an earthmover with a half ton then his lifes ambition is to fail. Otherwise legality is about who ran the red light. No one is looking at payload unless it's the retard dragging his bumper and the earth mover colliding with the hole Alpha Delta class stuffed in a Volkswagen and no one admitting fault. That same owners manual tells you your vehicle is designed for optimum performance and bla, bla and recommends against modifications so there's always a cat to chase up a tree if you're a pessimist but lets keep it real.

I thought you were trying to leave the site?

I obviously touched a tender spot. Don't worry, no one is expected to be an authority on everything. Not you and certainly not me. But I can tell you with confidence that if you insist on preaching negativity at every opportunity, it's your choice and a you will be confronted from time to time with the way things are.
As far as my leaving the site, I didn't get the memo on why members have to answer to you.

No tender spot here. Just asking since you made a thread about it after asking for help, doing research after and generally acting like a know it all douchebag.

No offense and I mean that.

You all got it wrong, Negative Nancy is the taco expert here. Just ask anyone.....LOL
But he does have some good points I must admit. Think it's the way he tries to belittle people
who disagree with him.
