Clock time is off... Nav screen black. After a restart all seems back to normal

I saw a weird behavior today on My 2017 Tacoma Sport. First noticed my clock time is way off. it was 5:30 and my clock said 8:08. Not even close. It wasn't like that this morning. At a stop light, I went into the settings for the clock and it was set to sync with the GPS (forgive me if I am not using the exact terminology). I checked and unchecked the box. No change. Then tried to switch to the Nav screen and it seemed to freeze Entune for about 10 to 12 seconds... then just a black screen. Uh oh.. next step I hit tapped "Home" and it came up but the map frame was still black. So unchecked the sync with GPS and manually set the clock.

I did notice some sort of an update was downloaded on Entune, but only caught it out of the corner of my eye when it happened. So I have no idea what the update was about.

Couldn't figure it out. So when I got home, I turned the truck off and started it back up again. then everything was back to normal. So I went back in and tapped the Synch with GPS again. Seems ok now.

Weird. Anyone else see this?

2017 TRDOR entune 7". I have not had any issues with it turning off or rebooting. I do know that when the entune starts to do the black screen and rebooting all the time the dealer has a data up date they can do to fix the issue.

Search over on TW and you will find a thread on how to do the update yourself. I did mine after the screen blacked out the first week I owned it. Very easy to do and no issue since.
