Oil

I've run Castrol gtx 5w30 conventional+Lucas oil stabilizer forever, never had a problem goin on 265, n change. A couple oil changes back I talked myself into getting the "high mileage" syn 5w30. Bad idea. She started making noises I didn't like, aka ticking... and weeped oil for the first time in our relationship. I went back to my old recipe and things have been better. If I could go back and do it over, I'd save the extra $12 or whatever the difference was and have bought another box of ammo!

Like most people our trucks don't like change. Stick with what works for sure.

Mobil 1, 5w30 , with Exactly half a quart of Lucas Oil Stabilizer , check every 1 k, for oil level , You should be good.
What type of regin do you live in ?
 
Beautiful country out there ! Lots of idle time ? Does it smoke ? Do you do all of your ( PM ) or someone else?
Yodas are good until you get back from where ever.
Check you oil weekly , most quick lubes offer Oil analysis, give that a try....
