First Tacoma!

So after months of research and test driving every brand of truck out there finally settled on a 2017 Alpine White Double Cab shortbox Offroad. Have had it for a week and absolutely love it! I thought about waiting for an '18 but no significant changes other than the safety stuff (which doesn't interest me) and would have been more $$.
Put an MX4 tonneau cover on it today and then planning to drive it for a few months before thinking about other goodies.
Ive been on thus forum for a few months while deciding what truck to get and have found the info here really helpful (and didn't scare me off buying a gen 3 lol!) IMG_2556.jpgIMG_2555.jpgIMG_2571.jpg

Congrats. Sweet taco!! Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcomes! Been a few weeks now and I'm really happy with the Tacoma! The early shifting transmission is my only negative, ECT definitely helps with keeping it out of 6th gear at too low of speeds.
Best fuel mileage so far is 10.6 litres /100km (22.2 mpg) on a 170km highway trip on the weekend. Used ECT for about half of that. Seems to be averaging around 12.5 L/100km (18.8 mpg) on my daily commute, not bad.

Congrats on the new truck. I have the same truck, same color, etc. it’s been a great truck. It’s my 2nd consecutive Tacoma. Mines been leveled with 5100s and has round led KCs installed. I’ve always been a huge fan of white Tacoma’s.

The truck will get better fuel mileage the more you drive it. Mine was about 15 mpg when it was new and after 8k miles, I’m getting 18.8 mpg in city and 21 mpg on the highway.
